Dr.K.Sridhar is currently serving as the Director, Institute of Plastic Surgery and Senior Vice President of the S.R.M Institutes for Medical Science, Chennai. 

Over his 4 Decades of vast experience as a Plastic Surgeon, he has worn several hats including that of an Outstanding Academician, a Spirited Innovator and able Administrator.

He has special interests in Hand Surgery and Cranio Facial Surgery. He is one among the few Intra Cranial Carnio Facial Surgeons in India and pioneer in South India. He is largely credited for eradicating Correctable Deformities in the District of Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. Dr.Sridhar is also one of the most sought after speaker, both Internationally and in India.

 Innovations: 

• Extensor Proprious Four tail procedure: Extensor Indicis Four Tail Procedure”- A new technique- Presented at the World Congress of International Federation of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery at Sanfrancisco.  (IPRAS1999).
• Modified Temporalis Transfer for Lag Ophthalmos: Modified temporalis transfer for lag Ophthalmos - a new technique Presented at Association of Plastic Surgeons of India conference (APSICON 1995) - Trivandrum.
• Structured Proforma for Epidemiological Survey of Visible Birth Defects:- Devised a proforma which was used by the Government of Tamilnadu for surveying various visible birth defects during 2005 This proforma has been  revised and a new web based software has been prepared by the Government of Tamil Nadu for evolving a permanent birth defect registry.
